THE CHEF
Four Star Chef Denis Viera, is the owner of
Harpoon Bay. He takes pride in Harpoon Bay being a family
friendly Restaurant where you will taste a variety of Fine
Cuisine such as Steak, Seafood & Pasta.
Chef Viera has continued to pursue his dream of being a chef
since the age of fifteen when he first shelled clams and filleted
fish working at the Fulton Fish Market. He then moved on to
becoming a chef/ manager for a chain of three restaurants
and clam bars in the South Street Seaport for almost twelve
years.
Upon moving to New Jersey, Chef Viera earned his
position at Perona Farms. Where, he worked his way up from
filet man to Executive Sous Chef.
Chef Viera participates in many fundraisers, including
the March of Dimes, The Art of Chocolate, and Battle of the
Chefs for the American Cancer Society. While working at Perona
Farms, he was invited to prepare special dishes
at the annual James Beard Awards in NYC. Chef Viera has appeared
several times on the NJ 12 food segment cooking his own creations.
